Alexander Valley is Sonoma’s slice of Heaven. No other winery epitomizes the region more than its namesake, Alexander Valley Vineyards. Their flagship wine, Cyrus, is still one of the best, big, bold reds out there, and we just had an opportunity to experience a vertical tasting including vintages from 2013-2018.
With 19 AVAs, Sonoma is abundant with wineries that showcase the diverse terroir that this glorious part of the world has to offer.
Sunset Magazine recently announced that October is Sonoma County Wine Month, so I am celebrating with Crux, a relatively new winery in Sonoma specializing in Rhone varietals.
