Value Wine Picks: $20 and Under

If you are looking for some value wines to stock your cellar, look to this list for some great picks for $20 or less.

“I” is for Incrocio Manzoni

A cross between two grapes —Riesling and Pinot Bianco — Incrocio Manzoni is a full-bodied, relatively scarce varietal and is most commonly found in the northern regions of Italy.

“H” is for Hondarrabi Zuri

Coming from the Basque region of Spain, Hondarrabi Zuri is the name of the grape that produces a spritzy, crisp white wine called Txakolina.

“G” is for Grenache

After being underwhelmed with the last wine, I was elated that the next one—a Grenache from Spain—was not only one of my favorite varietals, but also from a region I love. The perfect marriage!

“F” is for Frappato

After enjoying the Erbaluce from the northwestern part of Italy, we move south to Sicily and begin our next adventure of the alphabet wine challenge with Frappato.

“E” is for Erbaluce

For the letter E, we wondered, was it going to be a region? Or, was it going to be a varietal? Would it be a red or a white? We awaited the big reveal, and then the big announcement arrived — Erbaluce from the Piedmont region of Italy!
